Pohela Boisakh (Part 3: Potluck Lunch)

I have been spending much busy time these days with studies and work so got late to share my Boisakhi fun. Bengali New Year came with all it’s beauty this year and gave me chances to have a lot of fun in Stockholm even staying away from home land. We were 12 people gathering together with different special items and we had lunch together!

The preparation is always more fun and we enjoyed late night waking ups , meetings and planned a lot. Finally things went well accordingly! 🙂

My husband enjoyed smashing potatos and he was very excited! sitting in the floor with bulk of potatos he made his dish 🙂 See how happy he was………….

We had all kind of smashed items like potato, tomato, fish, egg, lentil  and so on……

We had sweets as well. One of my friend made Roshmalai which was very special.

Prawn with onions were very good to taste and we had salmon fry in a Bengali way to bring the desi flavour. Bengali way means we fried it with turmeric and red chilli powder.

After lunch we went out for a walk by the lake side and then to a coffee shop. It was amazing to have coffee together in a group.

All girls in red and our husbands in panjabi made the ultimate festive environment for us !

The long planning came to success and we had fun more than expected 🙂

Thank you everyone who joined us 🙂

Pohela Boisakh (part 2 :my makeup story)

I am super excited because this time I am trying to bring out my make up tutorial through my blog! I enjoyed much to do the Pohela Boisakh makeup look ! Hope you love it too 🙂

I cannot think my Bengali new year make up without bold red lips and winged eyeliner. I think this simple look is considered as appropriate gorgeous Bengali look.

*Prepare the skin:

1.Moisturizer( as choice)  2. Samshbox primer (hydrating) 3. Bobbi brown skin foundation (no 5 honey) 4. Mac pro conceal and correct palette ( medium deep) I used my sigma brush no F80 which is a kabuki brush and the best one for applying foundation. Because it is hot and humid, I prefer Bobbi brown skin foundation which is very light weighted.

*Then I did my eyebrows!

Though I do not need to do much with eyebrows as I have my own still a bit correction gives the makeup a new dimension. Anesthesia brow pomade in the shade dark brown is perfect for me and I use the Anesthesia brow brush which helps to give the natural look.

*For eyes I started with primer by too faced.

I did the highlighting under my brows and inner corner of the eyes by bones from vice 4 palette and crease by the color faint from Basic Naked. The whole eye lead and lower waterline by delete from vice 4. To bring some brightness I finished by adding some Bitter from vice 4 in my crease.

As eyeliner and kohl I used 24/7 glide on eye pencil to smudge the kohl in my waterline then used superliner by Loreal to make the winged eyes.

I finished my eye makeup by using Roller lash mascara from benefit and false lashes by Ardell.

*Then I  applied PREP+PRIME powder by mac to set my make up and dust some mineralized skinfinish powder and my shade is medium deep which helps to make the skin more natural and glowy.

To finish the look I applied blush from Estee Laudar which is pure color blush and the shade I used is wild sunset shimmer. I would love to end the whole process by doing some highlighting! By mineralized skinfinish by mac in the shade global glow I did the highlighting on my cheek bones, bridge of the nose and in the cupid bow of my lips.

I told you at the beginning that my Boisakhi look is never done unless I have red lips. So there are several options but I rather choose Red velvet by lime crime as it never fades even after a lot of food.  As I am going to eat all day long in Pohela Boisakh so I need something really long lasting.

I finish my makeup look by makeup setting spray from urban decay !

So here is my final look  ……………………………

Using the eye shadow fame from vice 4 and lipstick in the color bad blood by urban decay I did another look with different Jewelry.

Hope you liked my look ❤

Share with me more makeup ideas and let me know if you like my work !!!!

Shubho Noboborsho!

Valentine Bath Bombs by LushSweden

Hello Beauties ,

Today I am publishing an old blog which I wrote last year and published on my blogger site just before Valentine’s Day. I am republishing it just because it is one of my beautiful memory which I want to share with all my new followers in WordPress 🙂

Here we go…………………………………………………..

hope all of you are doing great !  I am sure you are all busy planning something special for upcoming Valentine’s Day ! 🙂  So do I. Of course every year we want to celebrate but not in the same way. We need to add some variations to bring more spark to the relationship.

This year LUSH added something really special and romantic to my plans ! YES ! I am so glad and surprised to get Valentine’s gift from LUSH and they are Super Romantic Bath Bombs in the shape of cute white teddy and red valentine heart.

They are called 1Valentine Heart Throb bath bomb.

                       2.Butter bear bath bomb.

They are amazing 🙂 They are so cute that you feel like to keep them in a box all the time as showpiece. I convey my love and special thanks to Lush Sweden for sending me loads of love 🙂

Bath bombs are  hard-packed mixture of chemicals which effervesces when wet. They add essential oils, scent and color to bathwater but nonreactive when they are dry.

These Valentine bombs have nice fragrance which gives a very fresh feeling after bath. The bright red color adds feeling of romance and the glitters always gives a festive mood. The Carbon dioxide bubbles gives a pleasant tickling sensation during bath.

I think after spending a day full of romance ,party ,shopping, dinner just relaxing in the tub with floating these amazing bath bombs will complete the day with satisfaction.

Visit this website if you want to get your favorite Bath bombs www.lush.se

In the website huge variety of gift packs and all wonderful products by Lush are available. I love Lush because they are fresh and handmade.

I Wish you to Have a great Valentine’s Day with this wonderful idea for yourself or to gift your loved ones.

Easter Holiday and Wedding Anniversary

Almost every long holiday takes us (me and my husband)somewhere out of the city or the country but for Easter Holiday this year we planned nothing special though it was special this time. We planned to relax ourselves and stay around the city. Our 4th marriage anniversary was on 26th March which was during this holiday which made us feel really special 💖

Some beautiful Easter Decorations which I came through and wanted to share ☺

Another day  I will tell the story of our marriage but today just want to share the small story of what we did on 26th March 2016 …..We planned to go out with our dearest friends who are one of the sweetest couple as well as the best neighbour to us are Shawon and Annesha.

It was a beautiful sunny day 🌞 which took us to one of the most beautiful place in Stockholm which is known as Drottingholm Palace which is the residence of Swedish royal family  and a popular tourist attraction. We spent the whole day there enjoying the warmth of the sun.

We had turkish kebab at “kolgrill” at the end of the day which is one of my most favourite place for turkish kebab. Recently it has been added to our favourite kebab place each time we crave for it.

This year the celebration of our marriage anniversary was a bit casual in style but I loved it so much this way 😊 The beautiful gifts that we shared will be coming through my next blog 🎁🎀

We were super surprised when we visited to one our friend’s place ( Monon bhai & Loren Bhabi’s beautiful home) who has a super cute family. There we enjoyed one of the best lamb biriyani and while serving dessert Loren Bhabi surprised us as she made cute cup cakes and delicious pudding written the number “4” on it to surprise us as it was our 4th marriage anniversary! !! It was very sweet of her and I  felt really special.

After this whole week of holiday and anniversary thing March ended with joy and April started with new spirit!

26th March was the day that we had “Nikah ” which means the official marriage and the wedding Ceremony took place on April 3rd  that is today 👰 but 4 years back……

So waiting for another small celebration today   😍

XOXO! !!!
